Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. seeks a civil/geotechnical engineering student for a summer internship (May/June–August) with flexible hours based on project needs.

This on-site internship offers hands-on soil laboratory support, field testing, site research, and assistance with Phase I/II investigations. You will gain practical experience in soils testing, boring coordination, environmental due diligence, and regulatory submittals while earning $20–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory.
• Geotechnical site research.
• Some field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
• Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Phase II Site Investigation/Remedial Investigations; and
• Assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals.

Hourly Pay Range

$20 - $22 USD
