Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. offers a summer internship in geotechnical and environmental consulting, running May/June through August with flexible hours based on project needs.

The role includes soil testing, site research, and assisting with Phase I/II assessments, field inspections, and due diligence reports. The internship pays $20–$22 per hour and eligibility for benefits depends on full-time status; Whitestone also offers employee ownership and a range of insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory.
• Geotechnical site research.
• Some field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
• Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Phase II Site Investigation/Remedial Investigations; and
• Assisting with due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals.

This is a summer internship running from May/June through August, with flexible hours based on our project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Soil laboratory testing and coordination;

Hourly Pay Range

$20 - $22 USD
