Job summary

Publix in Lakeland, FL is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Associate to clean and sanitize production areas and equipment. You will disassemble and reassemble detachable equipment, apply chemicals, and maintain clean storage and waste areas while coordinating with RTS, Frozen, and Dry Mix teams.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 30+ pounds, forklift operation with license, and a strong commitment to GMPs and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling detachable production equipment.
• Applying chemicals on equipment and in environmental locations.
• Organizing and cleaning kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas.
• Transporting racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment using forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Maintaining cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Working with RTS, Frozen, and Dry Mix teams to meet sanitation needs.
• Organizing air and water hoses and rinsing out empty drums.
• Assisting with housekeeping duties as needed.

Key Duties

• disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling all detachable production equipment
• applying various chemicals on different equipment, as well as in environmental locations
• organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas
• transporting of racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment to specific areas which will include the use of a forklift and or pallet jack
• maintaining the cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans
• working with multiple departments such as RTS, Frozen, and Dry Mix to meet their sanitation needs
• organizing air and water hoses
• rinsing out all empty drums
• helping maintain chemical storage area
• operating and maintaining floor scrubber
• helping with housekeeping duties where needed and
• other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements
