Job summary

Publix is seeking a dedicated sanitation associate in Georgia to help disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment, applying chemicals as needed.

You will coordinate with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs, operate a forklift, and maintain GMP and safety standards, contributing to a clean, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment.
• Forklift license required and forklift operation.
• Adhere to GMPs and demonstrate safe working habits.
• Able to lift in excess of 30 pounds frequently.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble detachable production equipment.
• Apply chemicals on equipment and in environmental locations.
• Organize and clean kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas.
• Transport racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment using forklift or pallet jack.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Work with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs.
• Organize air and water hoses.
• Rinse out all empty drums.
• Help maintain chemical storage area.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubber.
• Support housekeeping duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling all detachable production equipment
• applying various chemicals on different equipment, as well as in environmental locations
• organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas
• transporting of racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment to specific areas which will include the use of a forklift and or pallet jack
• maintaining the cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans
• working with multiple departments to meet their sanitation needs
• organizing air and water hoses
• rinsing out all empty drums
• helping maintain chemical storage area
• operating and maintaining floor scrubber
• helping with housekeeping duties where needed and
• other duties as assigned.

The required qualifications for this position include:
