Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL seeks a Maintenance position in Manufacturing to keep the Thermal Processing Department and production areas clean, including floors, ceilings, walls, vents, doors and drains.

You will safely dispense and use chemicals, follow SOPs, and prevent damage to equipment and control panels during cleaning. Flexibility to work various shifts is required, with a strong emphasis on GMP-compliant, safe work habits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to use industrial strength chemicals safely.
• Understand and demonstrate Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• GMPs and safe working habits are essential.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently and move racks over 100 pounds.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of Thermal Processing Department and production rooms.
• Dispensing and using chemicals safely.
• Maintaining standard operating procedures.
• Protect equipment and control panels from damage during cleaning.
• Apply and use various chemicals on equipment and in environmental locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
