Job Description

Our Dayton, NJ laboratory is looking for an Environmental Sample Courier based in Long Island, NY to join their team! This position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of samples and sampling kits to and from SGS clients in the Long Island, NY area.

Job Functions

• Follow a pre-defined route to pick up samples from clients for delivery to SGS labs.
• Establish and maintain good relations with SGS customers/clients by providing courteous, efficient, and professional pickup service of samples, and delivery of sampling supplies in a safe and timely manner.
• Complete log sheets and obtain customer signatures for chain of custody and billing purposes.
• Take the temperatures of the samples upon receipt.
• Maintain the company vehicle in good condition and clean.
• Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Complete SGS Defensive Driver training courses as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED (Required)
• Valid driver's license (Required)
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions accurately and safely (Required)
• Map reading skills, including use of formal maps (Required)
• Personable with the ability to establish good relationships with clients (Required)
• Ability to work well independently and with others (Required)
• Flexible work hours may be required (Required)
• Willingness to travel to other SGS locations or client sites (Required)
• Compliance with SGS’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies (Required)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs frequently (Required)
