Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation in New Albany, OH is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional to help integrate safety requirements into project planning, design, construction and operations. You will provide input and guidance, track performance trends, and conduct inspections to improve safety and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role requires field work, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders on complex projects, with emphasis on collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to occupational safety or health.
• 2–5 years relevant experience or 6–9 years total work experience.
• Ability to research and comprehend regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Computer skills for presentations, data management and reporting.
• Analytical skills for sampling, monitoring and recordkeeping.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to support multiple shifts and tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist safety component of the ESH program including technical and administrative aspects.
• Develop and implement Safety and Health Management Plans and training programs.
• Provide input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement and others to integrate safety.
• Interpret safety requirements and advise on risk assessments.
• Research regulatory requirements and prepare documentation and reports.
• Support safety studies and risk assessments.
• Participate in emergency response and incident investigations.
• Interface with stakeholders and help resolve concerns.
• Attend meetings with customers and subcontractors.
• Conduct ESH inspections and monitor compliance with contracts and regulations.
