Job summary

Old National Bank seeks an Environmental Risk Specialist to support its environmental risk management program for commercial credit transactions across a multi-state footprint. You will review Phase I and Phase II assessments, evaluate environmental liabilities, and partner with underwriting, portfolio, and legal teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, risk management, finance, or related field required.
• Experience reviewing Phase I/II ESAs and environmental due diligence.
• Proficiency with MS Office and environmental/credit tracking systems.
• Experience in environmental risk management within banking, lending, or real estate finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence reviews for commercial credit transactions, including Phase I/II ESAs and records reports.
• Collaborate with underwriting, portfolio management, legal, and external consultants to assess environmental conditions.
• Prepare concise environmental risk summaries for credit files and approval memos.
• Maintain documentation and tracking of environmental reviews and remediation matters.
• Promote consistency of environmental due diligence practices across lending teams.
