Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Response Manager to oversee hazardous waste site cleanup and environmental remediation projects, primarily in Puerto Rico within Region 2.

The role requires directing field teams, subcontractors, and coordinating safety, plans, and regulatory compliance. Expect frequent overnight travel up to 100% depending on project needs, with emphasis on site supervision, cost estimating, planning, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and OSHA

Qualifications

• Four or more years of hazardous waste site cleanup experience.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience on hazardous waste activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science may substitute for one year of required experience.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, OSHA, DOT, and RCRA/CERCLA regulations.
• Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• OSHA 8-Hour Supervisor Training.
• HAZWOPER refresher training.
• First Aid and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise foremen, equipment operators, laborers, subcontractors, and other field personnel in completing project activities.
• Coordinate onsite hazardous waste cleanup, environmental remediation, and waste disposal activities.
• Perform task hazard analyses and support preparation and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
• Communicate with clients, project personnel, and field crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Develop work plans and detailed cost estimates, including personnel, equipment, transportation, and disposal requirements.
• Direct subcontract labor, equipment, materials, and related project activities.
• Coordinate transportation and disposal of hazardous waste, including scheduling, packaging, labeling, manifesting, and loading.
• Direct daily tailgate safety meetings.
• Track employee time and direct personnel in safe and proper work procedures.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with KEMRON SOPs, OSHA requirements, project plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and promptly report concerns to appropriate management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
