Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of full-time or equivalent paid professional experience in environmental resources, environmental protection, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Grant/Special Projects: Inspect and oversee daily reclamation construction activities for grant-funded projects per plans, specs, and standards.
  • Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Projects: Manage reclamation projects from planning through completion; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams; oversee consultants.
  • Database and Information Management: Develop, maintain AMLNET and construction databases; coordinate with programmers to improve systems; support reporting.
  • Construction Standards and Technical Support: Evaluate reclamation practices; conduct field investigations and research; advise on specs; provide technical support.
  • Passive Water Treatment Systems: Maintain inventory and evaluate performance; recommend maintenance and improvements.
  • Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Projects: Coordinate development and implementation with local governments and partners.
  • Training and Program Development: Develop and support training for AML inspectors and consultants.
