LaBella Associates seeks an experienced Environmental Remediation Supervisor to lead field teams in underground storage tank removals, soil excavations, and remediation systems installation. You will manage day-to-day operations on site, ensure schedule adherence, and coordinate equipment mobilization.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong communication, and the ability to interact with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental contracting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Must be able to interact with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to travel regionally.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER training with annual refreshers.
• OSHA 10 Hour construction safety training; OSHA 30 Hour a plus.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Discipline a plus.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Supervisor for our Environmental Construction Department. Duties of this full time position include leading field teams conducting various environmental clean-up activities including underground storage tank removals, contaminated soil excavations, installation of remediation systems, bio-remediation, site restoration, and small demolitions.

Duties:

• On-site management of day to day operations on remediation projects

• Ensure projects adhere to scope of work and schedule

• Coordinate and perform mobilization/delivery of equipment and materials

• Prepare daily reports for field activities

• Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and OSHA regulations

• Assist Project Managers in development of scope of work, cost estimates and work flow

• Assist in training junior staff

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental contracting with at least 5 years of supervisory experience

• Ability to interact directly with clients and regulatory agencies

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• A clean, valid driver license. Commercial Driver License (CDL not required but a plus)

• Knowledgeable in OSHA and DOT regulations

• Must be willing to travel (regional)

• Ability to operate heavy equipment

• 40 Hour HAZWOER training with annual refreshers

• OSHA 10 Hour construction safety training

• OSHA 30 Hour construction safety training a plus

• Experience with NYSDEC standby contracts a plus

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Discipline a plus

Salary Range: $30 - $40/hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
