The NYC Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) is seeking a Project Manager to perform professional scientific work in geology on project sites under the E‑Designation and City’s Voluntary Cleanup program. The Project Manager will also manage Air Quality and Noise Requirements under our E‑Designation Program.

Responsibilities include overseeing development projects, ensuring environmental compliance, coordinating OER programs, communicating with stakeholders, supervising field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, earth sciences, environmental sciences, or closely related field; with 24 credits in rock/soil mechanics, geological fields, or related areas.
• At least one course involving geologic field work or three months of geologic field experience.

Responsabilités

• Manage development projects including review/approval of plans, site investigation reports, remedial action work plans and final remedial action reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and policy to meet environmental goals.
• Become fluent in OER programs (NYC VCP, E‑Designation Hazmat, Noise and Air) and related programs.
• Conduct communications with development teams, the public, officials, press and other city agencies.
• Oversee field sampling/remediation and supervise engineering activities.
• Maintain databases and archives established by OER management.
