Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is seeking staff for Remediation Management in the Northern Field Operations, Cedar Knolls, NJ. You will assist with reviewing remedial action reports and conduct field inspections related to environmental remediation projects.

Under supervision, you will learn to assess reports, ensure compliance with remediation standards, and participate in site inspections of educational facilities and heating oil tank cases.

Qualifications

• Review of remedial phase reports for Educational Facilities and Child Care Centers.
• Field inspections of sites including Educational Facilities and Child Care Centers.
• Experience with UHOT and remedial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision in surveys, studies, inspections and investigations pertaining to environmental conditions.
• Evaluate technical reports for compliance with soils and groundwater standards.
• Conduct field inspections of remediation sites and related permits.
