Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) - Northern Field Operations, Cedar Knolls office, seeks a position in Remediation Management to learn and assist in the review of environmental reports and to conduct field inspections relating to remediation projects.

Under supervision, you will evaluate remedial reports, perform site inspections, and help ensure compliance with environmental standards for soils and groundwater, including UHOT cases and educational facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Chemical/Biological Sciences, or engineering fields as listed.
• U.S. degrees must be from an accredited institution; foreign degrees require evaluation by a recognized service.

Responsibilities

• Review remedial action reports submitted for educational facilities and UHOT cases.
• Conduct field inspections of sites and facilities.
• Evaluate reports for compliance with soils and groundwater remediation standards.
