Job summary

Arcadis seeks an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Professional to join the Sustainable Operations team in Novi, MI. The role blends 50% field work with 50% office duties, supporting environmental compliance across solid/hazardous waste, TSCA, and RCRA regulations.

You will mentor staff and collaborate on diverse projects in manufacturing settings. Required: BS in Engineering/Science, 5+ years in manufacturing or consulting, strong documentation skills, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science or Environmental Regulatory Compliance required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or professional services/consulting.
• Knowledge of federal/state solid waste, hazardous waste, storm water, industrial water permits.
• Detail oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Complete plant surveys, bulk sampling of building materials and wastes, and assess conditions.
• Prepare environmental compliance reports per federal/state requirements.
• Conduct inspections/audits and document findings.
• Develop and implement waste management plans.
• Plan environmental sampling and lab analysis for waste characterization.
• Support and/or lead environmental regulatory aspects of manufacturing initiatives.
• Propose recommendations based on field observations.
• Prepare project plans, permits, compliance docs, and reports.
