Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Scientist to lead environmental projects, including ESAs, spill response, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation oversight. You will manage budgets, proposals, client and subcontractor communications, project setup, and directing field staff to complete tasks.

Mentoring junior staff, coordinating resources, and producing final reports are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3–5 years related experience in environmental assessment and remediation through Texas-based regulatory programs.
• Experience with regulatory programs & regulations: Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP), Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Industrial and Hazardous Waste (IHW) Corrective Action Program, Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) Program.

Responsibilities

• Lead Phase I & II ESAs and related soil, vapor and groundwater investigations
• Manage active remediation sites and related services
• Generate cost estimates for investigations and remediation
• Coordinate staff and subcontractors for field tasks
• Train and mentor new staff
• Prepare and execute scopes of work
• Produce and review reports and regulatory documents
• Manage projects through the full life cycle with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
