Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation is seeking a Project Scientist to lead and manage environmental projects in Corpus Christi, TX, including due diligence, Phase I and II ESAs, spill response, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation oversight.

The role involves budgeting, proposal writing, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, regulators, and internal staff, and directing field personnel to complete projects. Mentoring junior staff is also included.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Geology, Earth or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3-5 years related experience in environmental assessment and remediation through Texas-based regulatory programs.
• Experience with Texas regulatory programs (TCEQ, RRC, TRRP, VCP, IHW, LPST).

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage Phase I & II ESAs and related soil, vapor and groundwater investigations.
• Manage active remediation sites and related services.
• Generate cost estimates for environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Coordinate, perform, and direct staff and subcontractors for field tasks.
• Train and mentor new staff.
• Prepare and execute scope of work proposals.
• Produce and review applicable reports and regulatory documents.
• Manage projects for the entire life cycle, including client and regulator communications.
