Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in Asbury Park, NJ, with 5–8 years of experience to lead site investigation and remediation projects. This role offers development into independent project management with senior team support on larger programs.

You will manage small-to-mid-size projects, coordinate with internal and field teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver technical reports and submittals. NJ/NY area exposure is common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field is required.
• 5-8 years of environmental consulting experience focused on site investigation and remediation.
• Experience with state environmental regulations (NJ, NY, CT, PA, or others) preferred.
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training is required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage small-to-mid-size environmental projects meeting technical, regulatory, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Support senior PMs on large, complex remediation programs.
• Plan and implement site investigations and remedial activities per regulations.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submittals.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and field staff to align with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track schedules, milestones, and financial performance; provide updates.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders on status and decisions.
• Provide field oversight to ensure alignment with scope, budget, and safety.
• Delegate tasks and guide junior staff and field teams.
• Manage subcontractor and client invoicing and cost tracking.
• Support proposal preparation, cost estimating, and work plan development.
• Identify scope changes and assist with change orders.
