Job summary

AECOM is expanding the Environmental Planning & Permitting practice in the Southeast. The Environmental Project Manager will oversee environmental permitting and utility siting projects for energy and other private sector clients, joining a nationwide EPP network.

Candidates in the Southeast region, including Raleigh/Charlotte, NC and other states, are considered. Responsibilities include client interface, team mentorship, travel, and strategic business development tied to project delivery.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology or related field + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• 6+ years of experience managing projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR review.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform environmental permitting and utility siting projects for energy and private sector clients.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff.
• Coordinate field activities and data collection, including travel.
• Develop and deliver strategy, proposals, and reports for clients and regulators.
