Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to oversee permitting, siting, and compliance for energy and private-sector clients in the Southeast region. You will guide projects from scope through delivery, mentor staff, and coordinate field activities across multiple states.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage client relationships with a focus on high-quality deliverables and safety. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management or earth science field + 6 years of experience or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience managing projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental permitting and utility siting projects for energy and other private-sector clients.
• Coordinate, manage, and direct project field and data collection efforts.
• Develop, manage, and deliver business strategy, proposals, and reports.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Interface with clients and regulators on complex projects and BD initiatives.
