Job summary

GHD is seeking a Project Manager for mining projects in the U.S. West to lead reclamation and remediation efforts. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, budgets, and schedules, and ensure safe, on-time project delivery while maintaining client communications.

The role emphasizes disciplined project management, data collection support, and stakeholder reporting. Hybrid in-office work is expected, with opportunities across multiple West-region offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, Environmental or Mining Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of technical experience in environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, and client coordination.
• Project management experience beyond daily tasks, including defining scope, budgeting, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Familiarity with project management systems such as BST, Deltek, MS Project, or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and plan projects using disciplined project management practices (scope, schedule, risk, onboarding).
• Coordinate execution, track progress, issues, changes, and maintain project records.
• Manage communications and reporting cadence for clients and regulatory obligations.
• Oversee vendors and subcontractors under defined procedures and verification pathways.
• Support digital field data collection and standardized reporting workflows; contribute to dashboards.
• Prepare deliverables and obtain approval prior to external use; escalate risks early.
