Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking an Associate Project Manager for our New England Environmental Team. This role blends office-based project management with field work across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including occasional travel throughout New England.

Responsibilities cover budgets, client coordination, proposals, and technical reporting, with opportunities for professional growth and annual bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related major.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with Massachusetts-based regulations.
• Demonstrated technical report writing proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% in MA and RI; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental project management including coordination with team, clients, regulators and subcontractors.
• Oversee project budgets, subcontractor invoices, and funding sources.
• Prepare proposals, site walks, client meetings, and technical scopes of work.
• Prepare technical reports supporting MCP and risk assessments.
