Position Overview
BELFOR Environmental Project Managers have a hazmat focus. Qualified candidates will be industry experts and serve as local, regional, or national resources for large, complex, and high-risk/high-profile projects. Experience with profiling waste is preferred!
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of all BELFOR service lines.
- Understand project scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure safety, and maintain quality control.
- Establish core project management capabilities, including time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders.
- Continuously update knowledge of current and past hazmat practices.
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and notify managers of progress and challenges.
- Provide appropriate field documentation, including photo logs, for various projects.
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors, guiding them through the vendor qualification process.
- Manage fixed bid projects as well as rate and material projects.
- Understand BELFOR invoicing procedures for various project types and provide necessary documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections, keeping vehicles in a clean, serviceable condition.
- Maintain attention to detail.
- Safeguard property in accordance with BELFOR standards.
- Understand and apply customer service principles and practices.
- Work under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel periodically.
- Report time worked and equipment and consumables used accurately and timely.
- Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training courses as required.
