Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) invites applications for the OPS Environmental Specialist III (37950295) in Tallahassee. Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• At least 4 years of verifiable related experience; degrees can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• FCCM certification must be obtained and maintained within 1 year from hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for technical projects contracted by the Department, especially in water quality improvement.
• Provide technical assistance to governments and consultants in contracts and scopes of work.
• Work on-site 40 hours per week, with core hours 9 AM–3 PM.
• Maintain, manage, and report on status of assigned projects from start to finish.
• Participate in teams to facilitate watershed restoration and related tasks.
