The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an OPS Engineering Specialist IV in Tallahassee. This role manages design and construction projects for park infrastructure, coordinating with engineers, agencies, and staff to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and environmental permitting, while communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Competenze

• Minimum four years of verifiable related experience in professional design project management, engineering, construction or related field.
• A degree in architecture, engineering, or building construction may substitute four years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid Driver License required.

Mansioni

• Manage the planning and design of park infrastructure, including roadways, facilities, drainage structures.
• Conduct onsite project inspections.
• Liaise with consulting engineers and agencies on shoreline stability, design or erosion improvements.
• Review facility construction plans for compliance with codes and regulations.
• Provide substantial verbal and written communications.
• Perform site visits and permit applications for related projects.
• Advise on drainage, water supply and waste disposal matters in park development.
• Coordinate with staff and contractors during construction conferences.
• Negotiate design fees, manage contracts, and track budgets and status.
