Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Project Manager in Indiana to lead environmental projects. The role focuses on managing profitability, developing new work, and delivering high-quality technical reports while mentoring staff and overseeing subcontractors.

You will engage in business development, write proposals, and present marketing materials, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance across Phase I/II ESA projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 8+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, and environmental remediation report preparation
• Technical writing and oversight
• Business development experience
• Project management
• Experience mentoring and training junior staff
• Microsoft 365/CRM familiarity
• Deltek Vision experience is highly desired
• Experience with Ohio Voluntary Action Program, Kentucky Environmental Agency, and Indiana Environmental Agency is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage cumulative project total $400K annually and achieve profitability goals.
• Develop $300K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Provide Due Diligence technical guidance to junior personnel.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Review Phase 1 reports and write Phase 2 proposals and reports.
