Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead diverse environmental projects across the US. You will oversee profitability, develop new work, write technical reports, and guide junior staff while coordinating subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 8+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and MCP report preparation under the direction of a Licensed Site Professional (LSP).
• Technical writing and oversight
• Business development experience
• Project management
• Previous experience mentoring and training junior staff members
• Microsoft 365/CRM
• Experience with Deltek Vision is highly desired.
• Experience with Ohio Voluntary Action Program, Kentucky Environmental Agency, and Indiana Environmental Agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cumulative project total $400K annually and achieve profitability goals.
• Develop $300K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Provide Due Diligence technical guidance to junior personnel.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Review Phase 1 reports and write Phase 2 proposals and reports.

Annual Expected Pay Range

$90,000—$150,000 USD
