Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Project Manager to lead and grow environmental consulting projects across multiple locations. You will manage budgets, develop new work, and oversee technical reporting and due diligence guidance for junior staff.

The role emphasizes proposal writing, client presentations, subcontractor management, and safety oversight, with a performance-based bonus structure and opportunities at a nationwide firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; 8+ years of experience in environmental field sampling, data collection, Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, and remediation report preparation.
• Technical writing and oversight experience
• Business development experience

• Mentoring/training junior staff
• Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft 365/CRM) and Deltek Vision

Responsibilities

• Manage cumulative project total $400K annually and achieve profitability goals.
• Develop $300K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Provide Due Diligence technical guidance to junior personnel.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Review Phase 1 reports and write Phase 2 proposals and reports.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 8+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, and environmental remediation report preparation
• Technical writing and oversight
• Business development experience
• Project management
• Previous experience mentoring and training junior staff members
• Microsoft 365/CRM
• Experience with Deltek Vision is highly desired.
• Previous experience with Ohio Voluntary Action Program, Kentucky Environmental Agency, and Indiana Environmental Agency is preferred.
