Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking an environmental professional with basic knowledge of environmental processes and education to identify and resolve regulatory compliance issues under the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act.

The role involves field work, data collection, and reports for state and federal regulatory programs. The position requires experience with aquatic resource delineations and Section 404 permitting, strong communication skills, and proficiency in GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with aquatic resource delineations and Section 404 permitting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting technical documents.
• Proficient in GIS/map interpretation and GPS-based data collection.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes field work and data collection under state and federal regulations; uses GPS and GIS tools.
• Conducts environmental assessments, including wetlands delineations and habitat assessments.
• Leads field teams and develops field practicums.
• Performs and monitors compliance inspections during construction.
• Collaborates on technical reports and presentations for managers, regulators, and clients.
• Communicates with clients, agencies, and cross-functional teams to support company goals.
