Job summary

CPH is seeking an Environmental Scientist to conduct environmental research and analysis within architectural and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires expertise in wetlands, water quality, flora and fauna identification, and GIS data analysis.

Responsibilities include fieldwork under varied conditions, regulatory permitting, QA/QC, and coordinating with teams and clients to produce accurate, compliant work products.

Qualifications

• Proficient in wetland delineation and plant species identification.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and permitting processes in Florida.
• Ability to perform fieldwork in diverse weather conditions and settings.
• Strong written, oral, and organizational skills; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork including wetland delineations, water quality monitoring, and flora/fauna identification.
• Apply knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes (FDEP, USACE, local authorities).
• Evaluate techniques and adapt work products with professional judgment.
• Conduct QA/QC on monitoring results; ensure high-quality deliverables.
