Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Project Consultant in Houston, TX to manage environmental projects from initiation through completion. You will coordinate scope, schedule, budget, and resources while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development.

The role requires 6 years of related environmental consulting experience and strong knowledge of regulations, permitting, and field methods. A Texas license or equivalent credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 years of environmental consulting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred
• Obtain and/or maintain licensure or certifications applicable to the work performed
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS
• Good knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and test methods

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation to completion with scope, schedule, and budget management
• Coordinate resources, staff development, and client communications
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on projects
• Direct subcontractors and field personnel; review reports
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for clients and leadership
• Mentor junior staff and support business development
• Maintain client relationships and lead project meetings
• Maintain a client database through project and business development activities
