Job summary

S&ME's Atlanta, GA office is seeking an Environmental Project Engineer or Geologist to lead environmental due diligence, site investigations, and remediation projects through fieldwork and office tasks.

You will mentor junior staff, prepare technical reports, manage client communications, and ensure health, safety, and quality standards across projects. This role offers growth in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Master's degree in related field is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• 40-Hr HAZWOPER training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil and groundwater investigations, monitoring well installations, stormwater sampling, and environmental site assessments.
• Perform fieldwork, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain compliance with project quality, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports, regulatory documents, work plans, and health and safety plans.
• Support project planning, scheduling, proposal development, and successful project execution.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts.
