Job summary

S&ME is hiring an Environmental Project Engineer or Geologist in Atlanta, GA. The role involves leading environmental investigations, field operations, and data reporting, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to health, safety, and quality initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a PE/PG license, 5+ years in environmental engineering or geology, and a commitment to client relations and project delivery. This is a full-time on-site role with growth potential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences.
,Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
40-Hr HAZWOPER training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct soil and groundwater investigations, monitor wells, and perform environmental site assessments.
Fieldwork coordination, safety compliance, and subcontractor management.
Data analysis and preparation of technical reports, regulatory documents, work plans, and health and safety plans.
Support project planning, scheduling, proposal development, and project execution.
Communicate with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders to support delivery and business development.
