Job summary

Braun Intertec, a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, and testing firm, seeks a Project Scientist to lead a range of environmental projects including due diligence, investigations, and remediation. You will manage budgeting, client communications, project setup, and field staff oversight, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating resources.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical reports, guidance documents, and regulations related to environmental contamination.
• Strong technical writing for reports, correspondence, and procedures.
• Effective verbal presentation to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage daily project variables.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).
• Lead Phase II ESAs and related soil, vapor and groundwater investigations.
• Lead Brownfield redevelopment remediation and related services.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for environmental investigations and remediation.
• Prepare response action plans to facilitate remediation and redevelopment.
• Coordinate and direct field and contractor personnel.
• Assist in training new staff in field procedures.
• Prepare scopes of work, WBS, and cost proposals.
• Manage projects including direct client communications.
• Evaluate data and prepare reports.
