Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks an Environmental Project Engineer to support clients with environmental, health and safety programs and assessments. The role is primarily environmental with some focus on industrial health and safety, demanding strong regulatory and writing skills.

You will develop air permitting documents, SPCC and SWPPP plans, and manage multiple projects across manufacturing or mining contexts while traveling 2-3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or related scientific or technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial and/or consulting experience in environmental and safety programs and procedures.
• Experience with on-site industrial manufacturing operations, chemical manufacturing operations, and/or mining operations.
• Working knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA, and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills; experience with technical writing.
• Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action.
• Local travel 2-3 days per week, with overnight travel approximately once per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare air emissions inventories and air permit applications, renewals, emissions reporting and related documentation.
• Develop and execute SPCC plans.
• Develop and execute SWPPPs.
• Provide solid and hazardous waste management consulting and regulatory support.
• Prepare EPCRA TRI and Tier II evaluations and reporting.
• Prepare industrial pretreatment wastewater flow and related reports.
• Participate in on-site facility inspections and report preparation.
• Develop, implement and monitor OSHA policies and procedures.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget and schedule.
