P.W. Grosser Consulting (PWGC) is seeking an organized Project Coordinator to support Project Managers across diverse environmental and engineering projects on Long Island and beyond. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Combination of an Associate's degree plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated project support to Project Managers, coordinating scheduling, timelines, and day-to-day tasks across a diverse portfolio of projects.
• Monitor project progress against schedules, budgets, and scope; proactively flag upcoming deadlines, potential deviations, and emerging issues to Project Managers.
• Develop and apply working knowledge of NYS and local regulatory/permitting frameworks relevant to marine/dredging, wetlands, Part 360 solid waste, SPDES and stormwater, water resources, and local requirements.
• Assist in preparing and tracking permit applications and submittals; monitor agency review timelines and coordinate responses to comments from NYSDEC, USACE, and local boards.
• Prepare, maintain, and interpret project documentation — schedules, status reports, tracking logs, permit conditions, and correspondence — ensuring accurate records and clear communication across project teams.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulators, representing the company professionally in all interactions.
• Support formatting, proofreading, and QA/QC of technical reports, permit applications, figures, and tables.
• Assist with project setup, proposal preparation, and billing/invoicing coordination as needed.
• Schedule meetings and coordinate logistics for site visits, inspections, and regulatory/municipal meetings; occasional daytime travel required.
