ADEQ’s mission is to protect and enhance public health and the environment of Arizona. We are seeking a Unit Manager for the Aquifer Protection Program (APP) Individual Permit to help safeguard Arizona’s aquifers. The role involves managing a team of engineers, hydrologists, and environmental scientists reviewing permits, sampling groundwater, and managing technical projects across Arizona. This position is available for remote work within Arizona, including virtual office arrangements.
The APP Unit Manager oversees a team dedicated to assisting wastewater treatment plant owners with permit acquisition, implementing the new Advanced Water Purification program, and managing groundwater quality data. Responsibilities include staff management, budget oversight, process improvement, and technical decision-making.
Must possess a valid driver’s license if driving is required for the role. All new hires must complete the E-Verify process.
