Apex Companies is seeking an Environmental Principal in California to lead and mentor the environmental services team. You will serve as a senior technical adviser, shaping client solutions and expanding strategic relationships across the region.

The role requires 10-15+ years of environmental consulting leadership, a geology or engineering BS (Master's preferred), and a current professional license. Hybrid work in Thousand Oaks, Pleasant Hill, or Signal Hill offers autonomy and growth

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in environmental consulting with progressive leadership.
• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional Geologist or Engineer licensure.
• Established client relationships and active regional or national network.
• Core disciplines include Environmental Compliance, Site Investigation/Remediation, Site Development Permitting, EHS, or Due Diligence.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for senior-level clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Lead QA/QC efforts and mentor project teams to promote technical excellence and high performance.
• Manage project performance with a focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
• Travel to client locations as needed for meetings and project development.
