Job summary

HDR is seeking an Environmental Planning Project Principal to expand CEQA & NEPA services in Southern California. The role involves collaborating across HDR’s business groups, developing opportunities, delivering projects, mentoring staff, and driving client relationships.

It is a seller/doer position with strong leadership requirements. Primary Location: United States-California-Los Angeles; multiple California offices are listed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.
• 15 years related experience.
• A minimum of 7 years project management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
• Excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams through the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
• Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
