AECOM is seeking a Department Manager for the NY/NJ Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) Department. The role focuses on revenue growth, staff utilization, and P&L management across a large regional team.

The candidate will lead a ~60-person group, drive business development, and ensure SEQA/SEQRA compliance for NYC projects, while mentoring staff and delivering high-quality environmental planning work.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Sciences and 10+ years of related experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass MVR check.
• US citizenship is required for the role.
• Business development and client relationship building experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership through managers and staff; grow technical excellence.
• Oversee financial performance of the department and manage P&L.
• Review proposals for technical and financial content.
• Develop business plans and monitor financial tracking.
• Advise regional managers on growth, staffing, and strategy.
• Recruit and retain staff at all levels; lead project delivery activities.
• Ensure SEQA/SEQRA compliance for NYC projects and related processes.
• Coordinate with city/state agencies and stakeholders.
