Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Orange, CA office is seeking upcoming graduates to join our Environmental Planning team in 2027. This is an on-site, entry-level opportunity to work on CEQA/NEPA documents and environmental planning for infill and land development projects.

You will support project managers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to sustainability, climate action planning, and related tools like ENVISION and LEED. Summer 2027 degree completion required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science/Sustainability/Management, or related major.
Degree must be completed by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

Prepare CEQA/NEPA documents, environmental impact reports, and related declarations.
Assist with Specific Plans, Master Plans, and environmental/planning policy documents for infill and land development projects.
Support project managers and collaborate with team members across disciplines.
Develop familiarity with CEQA/NEPA, sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe.
Contribute to environmental clearance for local comprehensive plans and land use planning.
