Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Orange, California office is seeking upcoming graduates to join our Environmental Planning team in 2027. This is not a remote position and provides exposure to CEQA/NEPA, sustainability, and climate action planning across transportation, land use, and aviation projects.

You will support planning policy documents, master plans, and environmental reviews while working closely with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in City/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science/Sustainability/Management

Responsibilities

• Prepare CEQA/NEPA documents and environmental impact reports
• Assist in Specific Plans, Master Plans and related planning documents for infill/land development projects
• Support project managers and collaborate with team members
• Gain exposure to ENVISION, LEED, Salmon-Safe and related environmental planning concepts
• Support environmental clearance for local comprehensive plans and land use planning
• Engage with transportation, transit, land planning, and aviation projects

Education

Planning degree (Bachelors or Masters)
