Job summary

Kimley-Horn of DC is seeking Environmental Science graduates to join our Washington, DC office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to federal infrastructure projects across multiple agencies.

You will gain hands-on experience with NEPA processes, permitting and environmental impact assessments. The role emphasizes organization of agency consultations, documentation, and cross-disciplinary teamwork to shape transportation, water, and energy projects for public and private

Qualifications

  • Degree by Summer 2027 in Environmental Science, Policy, Sustainability or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing environmental documents and agency consultation packages.
  • Organize materials for public meetings, agency consultations, commissions and hearings.
  • Review historic environmental or planning policy documents and prepare existing environmental conditions analyses.
  • Support project managers and collaborate with team members across disciplines.
  • Gain familiarity with NEPA, CWA permitting, ESA, NHPA and related regulations.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science/Policy/Sustainability
