Job summary
HNTB is seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our Environmental Planning team. You will support projects from planning through construction, navigating environmental regulations and providing technical reports, permitting, and mitigation development for major transportation projects in PA, NJ, DE, and MD.
You will work with environmental scientists, planners, engineers, and PMs, gaining mentorship, taking on increasing responsibility, and developing your career within a collaborative,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1 year relevant experience.
- Experience interpreting environmental regulations and NEPA familiarity is preferred.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team on infrastructure projects and communicate technical findings.
Responsibilities
- Conducts research, gathers data, and performs field investigations with minimal oversight.
- Develops or adapts analysis methodologies and coordinates with senior staff.
- Prepares data analysis, modeling, and written reports to support environmental reviews.
- Reviews technical reports and plans for permitting and mitigation development.
- Assists in agency coordination and public information meetings.
