Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Environmental Planner 2 to support environmental planning and compliance across construction and maintenance activities. Qualifications

• Five years of progressive professional experience in local, regional, or state environmental planning.
• Two years of experience as an Environmental Planner 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent).
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Reviews: Review environmental commitments and integrate them into construction activities.
• Project Inspections: Conduct site inspections to check compliance with permits and environmental requirements.
• Agency Coordination: Work with resource agencies and staff to resolve issues and support environmental decision making.
• Field Monitoring: Monitor construction and maintenance sites to identify impacts and ensure proper environmental practices.
• Technical Support: Provide guidance, data, and assistance for permitting, training, and environmental documentation.
• Compliance Oversight: Assess activities to ensure they follow environmental laws, policies, and approved procedures.
