Jacobs seeks an Environmental Permitting Professional to support planning, permitting, and delivery of electric transmission projects. You will help secure environmental approvals and ensure regulatory compliance across project phases, from routing to construction and closeout.

The role requires strong judgment, organization, and communication, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, regulatory, legal, and stakeholder teams while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental planning, natural resources, geology, biology, engineering, planning, public policy, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of progressive environmental consulting, regulatory, planning, engineering, construction, or infrastructure experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience leading environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of complex permit applications.
• Develop permitting strategies, schedules, and agency outreach plans.
• Coordinate consultants producing environmental studies and materials.
• Manage agency comments, revisions, and approvals tracking.
• Mentor junior analysts on permitting procedures and requirements.
