Job summary

Grid United is seeking an Environmental Manager/Senior Environmental Manager to support multiple large-scale transmission projects across North America, with a focus on desert southwest siting and NEPA/permitting planning.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external consultants, managing regulatory interfaces with federal, state, and tribal entities, and guiding environmental compliance during pre-construction and construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting for energy projects.
• Experience with large-scale linear infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with federal, state, tribal and other stakeholders on technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental compliance, permitting, pre-construction and construction for multiple major infrastructure projects across the desert southwest.
• Lead and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on environmental studies and NEPA-related tasks.
• Develop permitting strategies, oversee studies and reports, and ensure regulatory compliance during construction.
