Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Project Environmental Manager to lead the environmental program for a North Central US transmission-line project.

You will guide field Environmental Specialists and collaborate with project and construction leadership to translate requirements into practical field action, with ownership from planning to closeout. This role requires a hands-on leader with 8–10 years of experience in industrial settings, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven ability

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, physical or biological science, or a closely related field.
• Eight to ten years of dedicated, full-time experience leading environmental practitioners in an industrial setting, preferably in electrical utilities or construction.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, industry practices, and environmental management systems applicable to linear infrastructure construction.
• Practical experience managing environmental compliance on active construction sites, including erosion and sediment control, SWPPP, spill prevention and response, access management, wildlife protection, and reclamation.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with construction supervision, exercise sound judgment, and provide clear direction when work needs to stop or change.
• Strong planning, communication, and relationship-building skills, including experience coordinating environmental activities with construction schedules and managing client and regulatory stakeholder requirements.
• Ability to produce clear, professional environmental plans and reports and work confidently with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the environmental program for the project from planning through reclamation and closeout.
• Coordinate environmental requirements with construction leadership and field teams.
• Identify environmental risks, develop mitigation measures, and halt work as needed for compliance.
• Lead and develop the environmental team and provide technical guidance.
• Oversee spill response, investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and review environmental plans and procedures; serve as the primary contact for environmental matters with clients and stakeholders.
• Support pre- and post-construction environmental activities, assessments, and reclamation planning.
