State of Indiana—through INDOT LaPorte District—seeks an Environmental Manager to prepare and review SEPA/NEPA documents for transportation projects. Responsibilities include regulatory review, field inspections, and technical reporting to support the Capital Program.

The role requires strong writing skills and knowledge of environmental protection principles, with at least five years of applicable experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of environmental or environmental public health experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental guidance, laws and regulations.
• Ability to prepare documents for administrative and regulatory action.
• Excellent writing and reporting skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide environmental expertise and guidance to regulated communities, government officials, attorneys and staff.
• Conduct technical analysis to assess environmental impacts and ensure compliance with SEPA/NEPA.
• Review permit terms and conditions, respond to applicants, and participate in public meetings and hearings.
• Perform project management duties to support program delivery and field operations.
• Conduct surveys, inspections and investigations of facilities and sites; enforce regulations and advise on compliance.
