Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Laborer at the Cox Creek Sediment Technology and Reuse Facility on Fort Armistead Road in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include janitorial functions, small repairs and maintenance, grass cutting, pesticide application, operation of vehicles, use of hand tools, power mowers and other small equipment. This position may require running errands and pre-employment screens, including background checks and drug & alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with minimal points required.
• Ability to pass a standard physical exam and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial functions for the facility.
• Small repairs and general maintenance.
• Grass cutting and yard upkeep.
• Pesticide application as needed.
• Operate vehicles and use hand tools, power mowers, and other small equipment.
• Run errands related to parts, tools, and supplies.
